How to Lose Thigh Fat

Heres a rare one for the ladies. While most of the people I advise are men, I do coach women from time to time and the biggest question is "How to lose thigh fat?". This is the equivalent of a man asking me how to get rid of his love handles or his beer gut. Because of the hormonal differences in men and women, fat is stored differently. While men hold most of their weight around their midsection, women get stuck with fat around their thighs. But if you're a woman, I'm sure you don't need me telling you this.

So what to do about it? Do you go out and buy one of those whizz bang thigh blasters you see on tv? After all, they're only $99.95 and you get a free set of steak knives! Maybe you could buy one of those vibrating machines, you know the ones I'm talking about, they literally vibrate the fat away.

Well, those products are fantastic for fattening the wallets of the people who make those "wonder machines" but it won't help you answer the question of how to get rid of thigh fat. However, that's why I'm around. I don't sell anything, so I've got nothing to gain by telling you lies, so I may as well come out with the truth, right?

You may not like what I have to say, because after all, those vibrating machines sound pretty cool, but you must accept it as the truth if you want to lose thigh fat. Instead of focusing on losing just thigh fat, you have to concentrate on losing fat full stop.

You cannot lose fat from one spot by exercising it harder than other parts of your body. Your body just doesn't work like that. If you want to lose fat on your thighs, you must lose fat everywhere first. And the best way to do this is to follow my simple three step formula.

If you haven't already seen me mention it, read on. I'm only going to mention it quickly, if you want more information on any of the specific areas, just search around this site for some more information.

The first is diet. You are what you eat, so if you are eating like crap....

The second is cardiovascular exercise. If you're not burning enough calories, then you're not going to lose that thigh fat very quick. This is especially important if thigh fat is a priority, since it will be the last place you lose fat from.

And the final thing you need to realise is that you need to be doing weight training. It doesn't matter if you don't want to build lot's of muscle. If you're a woman, chances are you won't be able to anyway, so there is no chance of you getting too big. And don't try to tell me your thighs are big enough, so what's the point of training them even further. The idea is that you keep all your muscle, so that you can burn more calories throughout the day.

So, you finally know the answer to the question "How to lose thigh fat?" so you can go and implement this immediately. Or you could go buy one of those fat reducing vibrating machines, the decision is all yours.
