hey guys, just going to be a short one today. But I'd definitely be paying attention if I was you, I'm about to go through one of the biggest mistakes made by lifters. You may not like what you're about to hear, but it is the truth, so listen up.
Someone asked me last week "Sean, what is the single best exercise for building muscle?". A good question and one that is easy to answer. By a long way, the squat is the best exercise for building muscle. Why is this so? Well, the simple reason is that it involves the biggest muscles in your body and this obviously takes a lot of effort.
Since it is physically the hardest lift to do (The technique isn't tricky at all), a lot of people stay away, I guess it's because people in general like to be lazy and steer clear of any hard work. And that's fine if you don't want to build muscle. But if you want to build some serious muscle, you just cannot skip the best exercise for building muscle. Never ever!
Not only will performing hardcore squats build massive legs, but believe it or not, it can actually help build your upper body as well. The reason for this is because heavy squats put strain on just about your whole body. To combat this, your body will create more muscle building hormones and this means that all your muscles will benefit.
So make sure you include squats in your next workout, they make take a bit of getting used to, but they are worth it. They are also the only exercise that has made me throw up, so enjoy!
